As part of the 2026 Coimbra Biennial, ten Portuguese architectural offices were invited by the curatorial team of Hans Ibelings, John Zeppetelli, and Daniel Madeira, to reflect on the theme of xenia.
"To hold, to give, to receive" will be the theme of the next Coimbra Biennial, which opens on April 11.
Alongside nine other studios - aNC, Atelier Local, Colectivo Warehouse, fala, Fr-Ia, JQTS, Pedra Líquida, Paula Santos e Nuno Valentim - ateliermob was invited to develop a reflection on the theme of xenia, shaping their exhibition proposal around a term from Cape Verdean Creole: morabeza.
