Ateliermob . Working with the 99% . Trabalhar com os 99%

[ENG] Since 2005 ateliermob has developed its activity in the field of architecture, design and urbanism. From 2010, with the financial crisis and the abrupt lack of conditions of the overwhelming majority of people, it positioned its practices on supporting different communities that had no conditions (or never had) to hire an architect.

The idea, “Working with the 99%” was awarded with the Future Cities Prize during the 13th Venice Architecture Biennal (2012).
Six years after, with a lot of built work but with much more to do, it was time to formalise its practice. Since May 2016 we are also a non-profit cooperative: Trabalhar com os 99% Crl [Working with the 99%].
The scope of our work has enlarged and our will to build innovative processes has gained a new life. Neighbourhood associations, other co-op's and non-profit institutions may associate to our architecture, design and urbanism services' cooperative to take advantage of our services.
But Trabalhar com os 99% Crl will also be the ideal space to work in other dimensions such as strategic and design planning, participatory and democratic processes consultancy, legal production framework and participation in European and Worldwide networks.
With this new cooperative we feel that we have a new tool to continue and grow our work in the field.
