Tiago Mota Saraiva at Braga's Economics Weeks
Invited by the DST group, on May 14th we will be at Braga's 2026 Economics Weeks.
"Following the motto 'The Common House', this event brings together experts and different perspectives to debate alternative models of living, with emphasis on cohousing models and housing cooperative models, as responses to the current challenges of access to housing. The initiative, which will be attended by Engineer Miguel Pinto Luz, Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, also seeks to explore how industrialized construction can contribute to more efficient, sustainable, and collaborative solutions, capable of promoting more resilient and inclusive communities."
This is how the organization presents this day of talks. Tiago Mota Saraiva will present some examples of housing development and city-building based on grassroots initiatives — cooperatives, non-speculative investment funds, and community land trusts (CLTs) — and, after, will moderate the debate between Helena Roseta and Fernando Bessa Ribeiro.
