Rua de São Paulo

Requalification of the northern pavement of Rua de São Paulo, stretching from Calçada da Bica Grande (building no. 216) to Rua do Corpo Santo, connecting eastward to Largo do Corpo Santo, with the objective of equipping this area with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stroll, ensuring accessibility for all individuals.

The project aims to establish an obstruction-free pathway, adjust the pavement to accommodate the required dimensions for tram passage, plant trees in a raised planter to encourage the formation of tree-lined routes, ensure pedestrian safety through the creation of three-level crossings along the route, and reinstating a pedestrian crossing near Travessa do Corpo Santo. Parking spaces for bicycles and motorcycles have been provided, albeit reconfigured.

These refurbishment works were carried out in alignment with the progression of the structural gas distribution rehabilitation works.
